The healthcare system is strained, and most hospitals lack adequate supplies. Overpopulation in refugee camps also causes multiple problems, including outbreaks of life-threatening diseases such as dysentery, dengue fever, malaria and COVID-19, but which are preventable and treatable.

Hundreds of mothers and children are also suffering severe malnutrition. HAGAR's mobile clinic visits the different camps to attend to patients' needs.
