Foster families provide an optimal recovery environment for children who have been traumatised and abused. Some children have never experienced love and care from their own families, and these feelings can stimulate deep emotional healing and a sense of security. Yet helping these kids can be very challenging, and additional costs for food, living needs, and school fees can add up. HAGAR provides foster parents with training and a small monthly allowance to defray expenses incurred in raising a foster child.
