Help survivors with the last step in their healing journey: starting a new life.
HAGAR helps survivors find safe living spaces – with family, a foster home, or on their own – and supports their adjustment to their new living environment. We also work with them on concrete steps to become financially stable to avoid re-exploitation.
To alleviate worries over living expenses like rent, food and transport, we give each survivor a small allowance in the initial weeks so they can focus on seeking employment. Survivors can become active contributors in their community, and also help prevent others from falling into the same trap.
