Educate frontline workers and the public to help combat modern slavery.
HAGAR actively engages multiple stakeholders in the countries we operate in – from vulnerable groups, frontline workers, and the public, to government authorities, corporates, and institutions.
Our workshops give local authorities the tools and programmes to accelerate awareness of the atrocities of trafficking. We also lead campaigns that highlight what the public can do to help put a stop to it. For example, HAGAR's short film, "The Invisible Contract", tells the story of how a young Bangladeshi was trafficked to Singapore with the lure of a false job offer. The film was viewed by millions online and sparked multiple conversations. We also translated and shared it with potential job seekers to raise awareness on traffickers' tactics.
