Help a family build resilience and break the cycle of poverty.
As employment options become scarce in the current economic times, more families are turning to animal husbandry (livestock rearing) to feed themselves and earn a small income. The loan will help them build an animal shed, buy livestock and feed. HAGAR also provides training on livestock care and basic business skills.
Loans are repaid as the family's business stabilises. The funds are then put to use to help the next family become self-sufficient. This way, we continually create resilience in the community, and also new job opportunities for others.
